Easy Seitan Recipe - Oil Free #Vegan Meat Alternative | Made in Air Fryer | Protein Source

Hey, thanks for watching! ? In this video I share my chicken style seitan recipe! It's a great meat alternative that's high in protein and low in fat. It's also really cheap to make at home? 


Difficulty: Easy


Ingredients:

Seitan
  • 1 cup of vital wheat gluten
  • 2 tbs of flour
  • 1 tbs of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 tbs of aquafaba (chickpea juice)
Broth
  • 1 cube of vegan chicken bulion
  • 6 cups of water
Directions:

  • mixall dry ingredients together
  • add 3/4 cup of water and 1 tbs of aquafaba
  • remove from bowl and knead the dough
  • press into square and cut into desired pieces
  • simmer uncovered in broth for 30 minutes
  • remove from heat and let cool
  • place pieces in the air fryer for 30 minutes
  • *optional - add the sauce of your choice
